Sometimes improving on a great thing makes for an excellent thing. In this Desert Storm Tan colored, fully loaded FJ40 project, the drivetrain was upgraded with a brand new General Motors 5.7L V8 crate engine and 700R4 four-speed automatic gearbox. Inconspicuously integrated, the V8 engine and automatic gearbox maintain the classic look of the Land Cruiser FJ40 while giving it that classic V8 power and rumble. This is an FJ40 ready to negotiate any driving condition.  Mechanical upgrades abound throughout the build including, disc brakes front and rear, disc parking brakes, Old Man Emu leaf springs and suspension components, Terrain Tamer gas shocks, custom-built fuel tank, power steering, and much more. The exterior has been tastefully enhanced to feature LED headlamps, rear utility lamp, jerry can painted in the color of the car, hi-lift jack, and meaty BFGoodrich Mud/Terrain tires.

Beautiful on the inside

Matching the exterior, the interior has been finished in beautifully designed vegan leather, maintaining the original styling, but accentuating it with edge piping in the color of the car and with microperforated sitting areas. Front seats, doors, cubby box and dash pads, are all upholstered, offset from the floor that is covered by an easy-to-maintain custom made textured vinyl carpet with edge trim. Other creature comforts include air conditioning, RestroSound Long Beach radio with Bluetooth and Sirius XM satellite radio, four premium speakers, USB charging port, and much more. In this comprehensively and meticulously restored FJ40 there is no compromising functionality and comfort.
