This immaculate Defender 90 project saw the restoration take good and boost it to super. Besides an exhaustive restoration of virtually every little part in the 1988 Defender 90, a myriad of features were installed to bring the old Landy up to specs more ready to handle leisurely drives in the horse country. Some of the notable upgrades include rebuilding the venerable Land Rover 3.5L V8 while fitting it with hydraulic tappets, sports exhaust, more aggressive cam and modern electronic fuel injection - all cooled down by aluminum radiator with electric fan. All aspects of the suspension, brake system and all mechanicals were been upgraded with an all new fuel system and much more to make this 5-speed manual D90 sublimely drivable.

Back in black

The interior was completely redone with heated Corbeau bucket seats wrapped in black leather with white contrast stitching front and four jump seats rear. The cubby box and dash has also been wrapped in matching leather and fitted with a center console sporting an auxiliary gauge cluster. Interior courtesy lamps fitted throughout as well as exterior down lights fitted in wheel wells and on rear view mirror arms. The roof and walls are dressed in charcoal Alcantara and a wood rimmed steering wheel fitted. Main gauges are digital reproductions of the original surrounded with billet aluminum bezels, matching the all alloy hardware interior. To make this top-shelf Defender even more enjoyable it’s been fitted with power windows, rearview camera and air conditioning. Because more is more.
